Outpatient Rehab

Hanley Center Counseling Group Room

Hanley Center offers several treatment options, allowing our team to match patients with the care they need most. We offer partial hospitalization (day/night treatment)intensive outpatient programs (IOP), and outpatient services to treat substance use disorders and primary mental health disorders.

Like with other serious illnesses, patients often start at a high-intensity level of care (such as detox or residential) and move to lower, more flexible levels as they progress to wellness.

Treatment varies from person to person, and each patient has different needs on the path to recovery. Like other health conditions, there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to treating substance use or mental health disorders.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

For many, a partial hospitalization program, also called day/night treatment, directly follows inpatient or residential treatment. For others, it can be a launchpad for the recovery process as a whole.

As a flexible alternative to inpatient rehabilitation, day/night treatment can serve as a smooth transition to a less intensive, controlled environment. At Hanley Center, our patients participate in clinically robust programming five days per week that fosters personal responsibility, recovery community engagement, and total wellness.

Partial hospitalization requires a commitment of 20 hours per week and offers daily medical monitoring. This level of care also administers medical assistance for complications that might occur due to chronic drug or alcohol misuse.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Intensive outpatient programming (IOP) provides supportive and flexible treatment that works around a person’s work and home life. Conducted at our outpatient facility in West Palm Beach, FL, our IOP provides comprehensive treatment for people suffering from addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders.

With ten scheduling options, this intensive outpatient program addresses the same clinical concerns as inpatient treatment while allowing patients and their families to continue their everyday lives. It is best for those who do not require around-the-clock clinical supervision (e.g., residential treatment) or are returning home after completing residential treatment.

Individual Outpatient Therapy

Individual outpatient therapy at Hanley Center provides personalized, one-on-one support to help individuals continue their healing journey with depth and intention. Working closely with a licensed clinician, patients explore the underlying factors contributing to substance use and mental health concerns while developing healthier coping strategies, emotional insight, and resilience. Treatment plans are tailored to each individual’s history, goals, and clinical needs, ensuring care remains both focused and compassionate.

For many patients, individual therapy serves as a meaningful step-down level of care following our partial hospitalization (PHP) or intensive outpatient programs (IOP). This transition helps individuals to maintain therapeutic momentum while gradually returning to daily responsibilities, reinforcing skills learned in higher levels of care. When used as continuing support after structured treatment, individual therapy at Hanley Center offers consistency, accountability, and expert guidance to support long-term recovery and emotional well-being.
